Two separate shootings in Paterson on Saturday left a teenager and a young man wounded, authorities said.
The first incident occurred at about 4:37 p.m. at Halpine and North 2nd streets. Police found a 14-year-old with a gunshot wound. The juvenile was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
Hours later, at around 8:21 p.m., officers responded to another shooting at Belmont Avenue and North 8th Street. There, they found a 25-year-old man also suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.
In both cases, police located potential crime scenes and are conducting investigations, which are ongoing.
