A man has been taken into custody in relation to a shooting that left one young man dead, authorities said.
John McFadden, 28, of Paterson, was arrested on charges stemming from the October 1 incident that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Eric Boone. The shooting occurred at the intersection of Park Avenue and East 22nd Street.
Boone was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. McFadden now faces first-degree murder and weapons offenses.
McFadden, who was identified as the alleged shooter by police, was arrested on Saturday, police said. He could face life in prison if convicted on the charges.
