Paterson man injured in Market Street shooting

A 30-year-old man was injured in a shooting incident on Friday evening, according to authorities.

Police responded to a call at approximately 7:02 p.m. near the intersection of Market Street and Madison Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim, a resident of Paterson, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. The injury was reported as non-fatal.

Law enforcement officials secured the area and identified a potential crime scene nearby. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, and detectives are actively investigating the incident.
