28-year-old Paterson man hurt in Arch Street shooting

A shooting in Paterson left a 28-year-old man with non-fatal gunshot wounds, authorities said.

Police responded to reports of a shooting around 4:18 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Arch Street and Garfield Avenue. Upon arrival, they found the victim, a Paterson resident, police said.

Emergency medical personnel transported the man to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. Details about his condition were not immediately available.

Investigators located a potential crime scene in the area. The investigation is active and ongoing, with authorities seeking information from the public.
