Two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, were arrested in Paterson in connection with a shooting that took place on October 25, 2023, near Halpine Street and North 2nd Street. The juveniles, both from Paterson, are facing charges related to attempted murder and weapons offenses.

The incident, which occurred last October, prompted an immediate response from the police after reports of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 14-year-old victim with a non-fatal gunshot wound. The juvenile was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities have charged the arrested teenagers with acts of juvenile delinquency. These charges would equate to attempted murder, first degree; unlawful possession of a weapon, second degree; and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second degree, if committed by adults.

The Paterson Police Department continues its investigation into the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Shooting Investigation Unit at 973-321-1342.

Oh but they are such nice little boys. One wanted to be a doctor and the other an attorney. Thus is the white man's fault. Society made them do it.
