Paterson man charged in Sherman Avenue stabbing

Stanley-Londono

A man was arrested on Monday for his alleged involvement in a stabbing that occurred earlier in the month.

Stanley Londono, 40, of Paterson, has been charged with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree aggravated assault, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon

At around 7:12 p.m. on January 9, police responded to a call at 41 Sherman Avenue. They found a 39-year-old man, also from Paterson, suffering from multiple non-fatal stab wounds. The victim was subsequently transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

The investigation led authorities to identify Londono as the suspect in the stabbing. He voluntarily surrendered to the police at around 12:00 p.m. on January 22.

Further details regarding the circumstances of the stabbing and the condition of the victim have not been disclosed at this time.

Londono could face 20 years in prison if convicted on the charges.
