A 30-year-old city man received medical treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound early Sunday morning.

Police were dispatched to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center at around 2:38 a.m., following a report of the incident. The investigation into the shooting is currently active and ongoing.

It’s not apparent where in the city the victim was struck by gunfire.The nature of the altercation and the circumstances under which the man was shot remain under investigation.
