A 17-year-old was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with a non-fatal gunshot wound following a shooting incident in Paterson, authorities stated. The incident occurred in the vicinity of Montclair Avenue and Paxton Street, around 1:25 a.m. on Thursday.

Due to the victim’s juvenile status, further personal details have not been made available. The police were informed of the shooting after the teenager arrived at the hospital seeking medical attention for the gunshot injury.
