1 dead, 1 wounded in Northside shooting in Paterson


A late-night shooting in Paterson has left one man dead and another wounded, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at around 11:53 p.m., when officers were called to the scene at Watson Street and North Bridge Street following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, police discovered two men with gunshot wounds.

Both victims were quickly transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for urgent care. A 43-year-old man from Paterson, who suffered injuries to his neck and legs, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other victim, a 38-year-old man also from Paterson, received similar wounds but is currently in stable condition after being admitted to the hospital.
