2 wounded in Paterson shooting on 20th Avenue

Two men were injured in an early morning shooting in Paterson, following a report of gunfire at the intersection of 20th Avenue and East 33rd Street at approximately 2:17 a.m. on Monday. Police, arriving at the scene, located two victims.

A 27-year-old male and a 43-year-old male, both residents of Paterson, sustained non-fatal gunshot wounds and were transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. A potential crime scene was identified by the authorities in the area of the shooting.

The police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses or individuals with relevant information are encouraged to contact the police Shooting Investigation Unit at 973-321-1342.
