I am writing this letter to congratulate and pay homage to a true leader in our community, Mr. Mike Adams. I’m not a football buff and I don’t know much about the Super Bowl, but I do know a change maker when I see one. Mr. Adams fits the bill precisely. Through his efforts, determination, inspiration and motivation, Mr. Adams has enriched the lives of all the youth.
I salute Mike Adams. Not because I know anything about football (cause I don’t) I salute the brother because he scores touchdowns everyday with the work he does for the community through his organization, Rising Stars Foundation. That, in and of itself is worthy of applause, and a standing ovation as well.
I’ll end this letter by simply stating the words from an old hymnal. “If I can help somebody, as I pass along, if I can cheer somebody, with a word or song; if I can show somebody, who is traveling wrong – then my living, shall not be in vain.” Mike Adams is a great deal more than just a pro ball athlete, he’s a vehicle of change in the world.
