34-year-old Paterson man hurt in 12th Avenue shooting


A city man was wounded in a shooting on 12th Avenue early Sunday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police were advised the 34-year-old man arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound at around 4:50 a.m.

Police believe the victim was injured when shots were fired on 12th Avenue and East 24th Street. Detectives located potential crime scene in the area.

Authorities said the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
