A Main Street prostitution joint was raided for a second time in two weeks on Friday, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.
Felipe Valez, 44, of Paterson, operator of the alleged brothel at 401 Main Street, was arrested again on charges of promoting prostitution and maintaining a nuisance, police said. His alleged prostitution joint was previously raided last Tuesday. Valez was arrested and later released.
Police said Valez returned to running the brothel out of his second-floor apartment immediately after being released.
Three other people were arrested during Friday’s raid.
Miguel Juarez, 43, of Paterson, was also charged with promoting prostitution and maintaining a nuisance. He lives at 409 Main Street, police said.
Jeimy Lopez-Michicoj, 35, of Plainfield; Yurany Casanova, 33, of Paterson, were arrested. Both were charged with prostitution.
Detectives seized $5,379 in prostitution proceeds in the second raid, police said.
Police seized $353 from Valez, $25 from Juarez, $2,804 from Lopez-Michicoj, and $2,197 from Casanova.
