23-year-old hurt in third Paterson shooting in under 24 hours

A city man was wounded in a shooting on Belmont Avenue late Saturday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 23-year-old, was struck by gunfire on Belmont Avenue and North 8th Street at around 3:45 p.m. He arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center moments later seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The man is the third person shot in Paterson in under 24 hours.

Police continue to investigate the shootings. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.

      We are not all stay at home people, some of us that continue to live here
      are good people that want the best for this city
      Get a republican in office that can effectively lead.

    A shooting in the same place about two weeks ago. Never used to happen up the hill. Or on North Main for that matter. Bad for business. Red kept it tight.
