Hawthorne woman in critical condition after being shot in Paterson, police say

A woman from Hawthorne was wounded in a shooting in Paterson early Tuesday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 41-year-old, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the area of Oak and Martin streets in Paterson at around 1:51 a.m.

She was rushed to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center. She remains in critical condition at the hospital, police said.

Authorities continue to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
