Early results in the six Paterson ward elections has Michael Jackson, Shahin Khalique, Alex Mendez, Ruby Cotton, and Luis Velez leading.

Just 5,121 of the 14,181 mail-in votes that came in so far were counted, according to the results. Vote total is likely to increase as more ballots are delivered to the Board of Elections on Thursday.
