Rocky’s Liquor received a five-day liquor license suspension for selling alcohol after the legal hour.

The city’s Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Board issued the suspension on Wednesday evening for the violation which occurred on January 10th, 2015, according to city records.

“What did you do to resolve this matter?” asked commissioner Juan Hernandez.

The individual who sold liquor after the legal hour is no longer employed at the grocery store and liquor establishment located at 50 3rd Avenue, responded Peter Pena, the establishment’s attorney.

The liquor store is owned by 48-50 3rd Avenue LLC, according to city records. Rocky’s Liquor was previously suspended for 20 days for selling alcohol to underage patrons earlier in the year.

The five-day suspension begins on December 14th, 2015.
