Three individuals were apprehended while they were attempting to transport 10,000 bags of heroin via Paterson’s section of Route 80, according to the Record, a Woodland Park based newspaper.
New Jersey State Police spotted an Audi A6 traveling strangely on the highway; the vehicle was pulled over little before 1am on Sunday. Officers approached the car and discovered a strong scent of marijuana, then upon further investigation uncovered thousands of bags of heroin.
All three individuals were arrested: Mark A. Frye, 32; Jaqaisa Harrison, 25; both from Paterson. And Lanesha Harrison, 24, of Haledon, who was the driver of the vehicle.
Troopers seized the drugs as well as $6,908 they found on Mr Frye. The street value of the illegal drugs seized is about $60,000.
