The city’s public schools and the district office will be closed on Wednesday due to a pending winter storm, according to communication from the district.
After school and evening programs for tomorrow has been canceled, said Terry Corallo, the district’s spokesperson. The scheduled workshop meeting of the school board set to take place at the district office will likely be cancelled — the district has yet to solidly confirm whether the meeting will be held or cancelled.
Earlier today the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for the entire northern New Jersey area. “Significant winter storm late tonight into Wednesday,” read a notice on the service’s website. “Significant amounts of snow, sleet, and ice are expected,” according to the service.
