A suspect identified by detectives after an investigation relating to a shooting incident that happened last week at the intersection of Martin Street and 21st Avenue was arrested Tuesday morning, according to the Paterson Police Department.
Christian Rodriguez, 19-year-old, city resident, was nabbed by police on Tuesday at 11 a.m. near Market and East 19th Streets.
Ediberto DelValle, an officer with the department, spotted Rodriguez in the area and recognized him from a bulletin that was issued for his arrest, said police. DelValle, along with few other officers, quickly cuffed the suspect.
Rodriguez wounded a 24-year-old victim last Saturday after a verbal dispute broke out near the corner of 21st Avenue and Martin Street.
Police have charged Rodriguez with weapon’s possession and attempted murder.
