Police bust Paterson gambling joint on North 3rd Street

City police officers busted a gambling operation run out of a North 3rd Street grocery store, according to police.

Police seized $1,858 in suspected gambling money and arrested Haledon resident Clara Luz Rosario, 48, on charges she was promoting gambling, possession of gambling records, maintaining a gambling resort at a business, and having gambling devices, said police director Jerry Speziale.

Police narcotics unit raided the grocery store, 54 North 3rd Street, on February 29th, 2016.
