Firefighters battled a blaze at an abandoned building on 17th Avenue and East 27th Street on Tuesday night.
Fire was reported at the two-story building at 9:40 p.m. Flames were visible in the attic area of the house when firefighters arrived on the scene. The roof of the building later collapsed as firefighters battled the blaze.
Fire was contained by 10:30 p.m. No injuries were reported, according to a fire official.
