Former school board member Wendy Guzman and current board of education member Kenneth Simmons are launching their election campaigns for 5th and 3rd Wards city council seats in next year’s municipal election.
Guzman is kicking off her campaign for the 5th Ward council seat at 7 p.m. at the Ranchete Social Hall located at 40 Park Avenue on Thursday, December 10, 2015.
Simmons is hosting his campaign kick-off rally at the Riverside Manor located at 27 East 33rd Street on the same day at 7 p.m.
Simmons is seeking the 3rd Ward council seat.
Both candidates are accepting donations for their election campaigns.
The 3rd Ward and 5th Ward council seats are held by William McKoy and Julio Tavarez respectively.
