More than a thousand city families are without power on Thursday afternoon after a truck pulled down a utility pole on East 15th Street between 7th and 8th avenues.
1,228 customers of PSE&G were without power in the area of 15th Street, Lyon Street, Madison Avenue, and Lafayette Street at noon. PSE&G crews are working to restore power to neighborhood residents.
By 1:20 p.m. there were 6 outages remaining and 40 customers without power, according to PSEG outage data.
PSE&G expects to get power restored to the neighborhood latest by 5:30 p.m.
