A city boy is in serious condition at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center after he was body slammed by another boy visiting from Florida on Montclair Avenue and Paxton Street on Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Police said the victim, 14-year-old, was unconscious in the hospital’s trauma room. He was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and remains in serious condition. He was allegedly body slammed by a 13-year-old boy visiting from Florida at about 3:25 p.m.
It’s not clear what led to the incident.
Police have charged the teen from Florida with aggravated assault, endangering an injured victim under juvenile delinquency. He was taken into custody by detectives at 7 p.m., said police.
